Chemours is a manufacturer of thermal management and specialized solutions including Opteon and Freon refrigerants.
Specialty refrigerant gases are produced with a focus on achieving high purity levels, often meeting or exceeding industry standards. The absence of impurities is crucial, especially in applications where even minor contaminants could impact performance or compromise results.
These refrigerants are typically used in specific applications where standard refrigerants may not meet the required specifications. Examples include precision cooling systems, laboratory equipment, or specialized refrigeration processes.
Specialty refrigerant gases are commonly used for calibration and testing purposes, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of refrigeration equipment and instruments.
In research and development settings, specialty refrigerants may be used for experimental purposes or in the testing of new technologies and systems.
Freon™ 23 is an HFC retrofit refrigerant for R-13 and R-503 in very low temperature applications [below -40°F to -100°F (-40°C to -73°C)] such as medical freezers and environmental chambers. It can be used in new systems as well as to retrofit existing systems.
